Claire has done many things since the last post including a trip to Kansas to meet her cousins!

She relaxed by the lake with her mom

And waved some pom-poms

When she returned to Ohio, she could hold her head up and at 15 weeks she rolled over for the first time.

Question:  Who dressed Claire?  A. Mom  B. Dad  C. She chose the clothes herself  (answer at the end)

Daddy reads a book to Claire; she really likes colorful pictures and shapes.

Answer: A, believe it or not, but Claire did not seem to mind the color contrast!

Smiles All Around

Claire has been smiling a lot more over the past week.  We like to think it is more in response to our faces and voices as opposed to the release of gas when she was younger (although that still happens...but, of course, who doesn't smile when that happens!)  I digress...anyway, the following is the first smile that we captured in pixels.

We also have been reading a bedtime story at night.

Claire also met more Buller family relatives.  Here she is getting to know Sarah.  And she is looking forward to meeting more!

This last picture is the one that Claire's daddy keeps on his phone so he doesn't forget about his beautiful daughter while he is at work.

Claire Helps Around the House: Moving Edition

Claire has been such a help to us during the time we moved to Dayton.
First, she helped pack some boxes.

That was a very tiring job, but she persevered and assisted daddy in vacuuming.

The day before the big move, she congratulated her daddy on graduating from medical school.

Once we arrived in Dayton, she was so thankful that we had moved all the heavy boxes.  Claire offered to help clean up after herself and throw her diapers in the dumpster.

After a hard days work, Claire helped mommy play some piano.  I wonder if she remembers any of the tunes from before she was born?!!

A whale of a bath

Claire took her first bath in the "Whale of a Tub."  She seemed to enjoy having warm water poured over her arms, legs, belly, and head. 

She is super cute in her whale towel as well!

A Poop Story

Surely every new parent has one of those moments when their kid goes from pooping 4-5 times a day to several days without.  This is our story.

Claire decided to put her bowel function on hold for the last two days.  For us this was a long time - though after talking to several sources (family, a physician colleague, and several reputable websites) we learned this was really on the not-so-concerning side of pooquency (poop + frequency).  We were seriously contemplating intervention when Claire decided to release what she had been stewing.  "Hooray" we all shouted and paraded to the changing area.  When the second diaper was halfway on another strain produced paydirt!  Then the climax - Grandma Lois was showing us how she stroked Claire's belly to make her strain when all of a sudden fffftttththhhpppp and Grandma's hand was covered!  After the hands, bare bottom, lamp, and wall were cleaned Claire and Grandma posed for a picture.

Then daddy took advantage of those infant reflexes making Claire "squeeze and hold" daddy's hand.

Brett's Birthday...

...consists mostly of pictures taken of Claire.  Aunt Jenna came to visit and enjoyed feeding and making faces with Claire.   

We went to Bluffton to see Buller Grandparents and great-grandma. We used Claire's new changing table that Grandpa Buller made - and she can hardly wait to use her new crib!
